10 months
Wow, Ten months seems so old. (All you moms, stop laughing at me!) I mean, he's no longer a baby anymore. He's ALMOST 1!?!?!?!?
I was just thinking how this month feels like it has been for.ev.er long (in a good way) and that it feels like I haven't written about Isaac at all. Then I realized I didn't even do a real "9 month update". I did do a reflection on that day, but here's all the goodies he is learning!
Walking is soooo close. He stands alone and balances well...he can even balance as he slowly descends to the ground ;) He tries to walk with everything--including empty water jugs, chairs, the jumpy toy stand, the ottoman, his toy wagon...you get the idea.
Isaac sounds like he is talking all the time. We pretend he can really answer our questions....which turns out he is usually right! The words we think he is saying are: Yes. Dadda. Hi. Jesus.
Me can also say Mamamamamama BUT when I say, "Are you saying Mama!?" He looks at me with a devilish grin and says Dada!
Isaac is becoming increasingly courageous. He tries to climb over, on or through everything. He is very fast at crawling so this keeps us on our toes. He has a new kitchen toy that we've been using to block his access to the bathroom/toilet (which he discovered last month). Last week he figured out how to move the entire kitchen to get into the bathroom again!
(The bathroom lock is broken, btw, that's why it's a problem!)
Isaac loves music and began bobbing his head this month. It's absolutely ADORABLE. He'll bob his head to anything including latin salsa, baby einstein, Brahms lullaby, and daddy singing in the tub. He started swaying his arms and body to the music too!
Bath time is still a joy and he has a new Thomas the Train squirt toy to play with.
Oh, how could I forget? HE FINALLY GOT TEETH!!!!!!!!!!!!! Jan 9 was the day his first tooth finally cut through the gums. A few days later it was fully visible. Now he has 3 teeth out and visible-he cut the other 2 at the same time.
Reading is so fun with Isaac. He is finding similarities in characters (This elephant is here AND on thec cover?! Cool!) and turns the pages so delicately. He has favorite books already. He knows where the pop-outs are in the hide-n-seek books and can sit and "read" for long periods of time alone.
He is gainingIsaac still gets stuck under the piano bench if he crawls there and wants to turn around though!
The Vacuum. The ever lasting saga of Isaac and the vacuum. Well he is still deciding if he will be scared of it or not but he's usually excited when we pull it out. As long as one parent is with him he is happy, clapping and cheering for the vacuumer. Otherwise he doesn't like it. But he does like to vacuum for us when we are done. He moves the vacuum like we do, too! (It's a hose vacuum, so he can hold the handle.)
Isaac is 10 months old but comfortably fitting into 18 month clothes.
He like to chew on dinosaur tails and blow raspberries on glass windows.
Everyday I wake up/go to sleep saying "Gosh I love this kid SO MUCH!"
We had Lunar New Year at the end of Jan and Isaac got to wear his hanbok again. We also took out first trip to an amusement park--Lotte World. You can see a pictures below. Yes, they had kiddie rides and I can't wait to go back again when Isaac doesn't need to sleep in the middle of it! hehehehe
