SCBC: Couples' Valentine Dinner
The other blessing of the night was that I wasn't even supposed to be able to go! Saturday was going to be my busiest day of the month with 6 places to go, in and out of town. It was the last weekend for Jason and I together before soccer season started and he had also planned to take me out that night. That was all planned before we even knew about the dinner...let alone the fact that I would spend a frantic 6 days decorating and transforming an empty room into a color-filled space. One by one, our plans that day changed and changed--things were cancelled or post-poned--and then Jason surprised me by saying that we should really enjoy the hard work I did this week by going to the dinner. Horray! We only stayed for half, but it was really nice and fun to be a part of it all.
Here are some pictures and links to the crafted things we made :)
Songtan Int'l Community Center...a big empty canvas! |
Home sewn buntings are a popular trend right now. Karen Davis has a tutorial here! |
My vision for the tables came together WONDERFULLY! Several women helped me assemble the homemade rosette balls (tutorial here), pictures, candy, ect. It's perfect! |
Random pictures from the evening. The big picture is Chae and I at the welcome table. She's so sweet and let me wear her jacket so I didn't freeze! |
Thank you to ALL the ladies who helped out and made this a success! Michelle, Myung Hi, Chae, Sarah, Katie, Bethany, Teal and Kyungah!
Looks so good! GREAT JOB! Especially with that bunting, so so good!
